The cone flowmeter is a differential pressure (DP) flowmeter specifically engineered for applications with high accuracy requirements and disturbed flow profiles in confined installation spaces. The cone meter body can be installed with 3D/2D straight upstream/downstream pipe length and is suitable for almost any application from natural gas to steam to liquid hydrocarbons. The Venturi flowmeter is based on a classical Venturi tube, an engineered primary flow element for a most efficient and accurate differential pressure (DP) flow measurement. Thanks to its design, it has an excellent resistance to wear and doesn’t require any maintenance. The service life of the Venturi element is usually equal to the one of the entire plant.
The flow nozzle meter is designed for accurate long-term stable flow measurement of liquids gases and steam, especially in high velocity applications with the risk of erosion or cavitation. Typical applications are feedwater, steam, condensate or refined products in various industries – from power plants, refineries to chemical processing facilities to oil and gas production or CCS.
The wedge flowmeter is designed for difficult applications where other flow technologies fail or have a very limited-service life. It can cope with high viscosities, abrasive solids-containing fluids or liquids with a tendency to scaling or agglomeration.
The averaging pitot tube flowmeter requires the least installation effort of all DP flowmeters. It is cost-effective and suitable for a variety of applications. Its low remaining pressure loss and bi-directional flow capabilities make it the preferred instrument for water, sea water, condensate, cooling water, crude oil, saturated and superheated steam, nitrogen, combustion gases, ventilation air and many other liquids and gases. It can also be used for dust-laden gases at high-temperatures. The KROHNE averaging pitot tube flowmeter covers big diameters, round and rectangular pipes and ducts. It requires only short straight inlet/outlet pipe sections (7D/3D). Due to the low flow profile constriction it generates only a minimal residual pressure loss.
The compact orifice plate with OPTIBAR DP transmitter is an economic DP flowmeter for a broad range of applications – from demi-water to chemicals to steam. The integral orifice plate is a one-piece design per ISO 5167-2 or ASME MFC-3M, consisting of a compact orifice plate, a sandwich meter body, impulse lines and a connection flange. KROHNE offers the complete DP flow solution with integral orifice plate, manifold and DP transmitter.
